The Purpose
Meneldor is a passion project intended to raise awareness of recent patterns in cyber crime, particularly for vulnerable people and marginalized groups. As of now, its outreach is digital, but the hope is to eventually deliver in-person presentations to local communities — churches, PTA meetings, and similar gatherings.

The Name
The name "Meneldor" comes from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Meneldor is described as a great eagle that saves Frodo and Sam after the destruction of the One Ring. Read more ↗
The Founder
My name is Benjamin Klemens. I am an infosec student pursuing a Master's degree in Cybersecurity. I started Meneldor because I believe that awareness is the first and most underserved line of defense against cyber crime. The people who need it most rarely encounter it, and the gap between the technical security community and everyday people at risk is far too wide.
